This trail starts at the parking lot at the Viking Village on Dragseidet between Stadlandet and Drage. Here King Olav Trygvason christened 4 counties (Sygna, Firda, Sunnmøre and Raumsdal counties) in the year 997!
Follow the signs and red pins to the top. The path goes through heather and some short sections of bog. The path goes steadily and nicely up towards Vardeberget. On Vardeberget you have a nice view but not a 360 degree panorama.
Then you just have to continue the trip to Grøtrøysa which is hiked as far as from Dragseidet to Vardeberget.
From Grøtrøysa you continue straight north and downhill towards Grøtrøysavatnet, before a slight bend in the slope and a small detour to the left towards Skjeljevatna.
If you want a longer trip, you can choose to take the trip back to Dragseidet via Dalskarhornet and the road back from Dalskaret to Dragseidet.
