The farm in Årdal in Selje offers insight into old western Norwegian farming. This history goes way back in time. The farmhouses in the yard are most likely built after 1850 and was last vacated in 1957. The farm is built upon steep cliffs, right above great fishing locations, which must have been an important source of food for them. This hiking trail you offers you a wonderful view over Sildagapet between Stad and Vagsøy on your left hand side and enormous steep cliffs on your right hand side.
